Psychopomp
Assisting with transitions to the Afterlife
Psychopomp (conducting the dead) is probably the most sacred of classic shamanic tasks. It involves helping people prepare to cross over or assisting souls that have “lost their way” after death to find where they should be.
With this process, permission is of vital importance, both from family members, frequently the ones making the request, and the actual soul making the transition. If the person is in a coma, the request for permission can still be made.
Work with the actual soul transitioning or being conducted to a better place is performed without charge, though a gratuity (to cover expenses) is always appreciated.
